We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead the development process for our Battery Design, Integration, and Operational teams. As a key member of Apple's Product Design organization, you will be responsible for driving the daily activities to meet overall program objectives and focusing on process within product definition and engineering design cycles.
Key Responsibilities- Help drive the daily activities to meet overall program objectives and focusing on process within product definition and engineering design cycles.
- Identify multi-functional design dependencies and risks and clearly define and document design trade-offs.
- Drive project architecture and design with System teams and within Battery team to define and manage the project scope.
- Develop and drive project schedules including management of international suppliers to integrate their work into the project timeline.
- Apply technical depth to facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering functions and operations.
- Drive failure analysis of build/product performance and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the multi-functional team.
- Provide project status/risks across on a regular basis up to executive management.
- BS + 3 years relevant experience
- Ability to travel internationally
- Technical background in Computer, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Consumer Electronics experience preferred
- Excellent leadership, data presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and broadly to comprehend, communicate and drive sophisticated design trade-offs
- Drive and dedication with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities
- Remain flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity, and rapid development cycles
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
