Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing and directing suppliers and teammates to support the external development of various spaceflight systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct suppliers and teammates to support the external development of various spaceflight systems.
  • Interact with our customers, the Programs, to address concerns and ensure development efforts and deliveries are on track.
  • Lead efforts to manage and direct suppliers and teammates to support the external development of various spaceflight systems.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Manage complex technology projects with aggressive schedules and scarce resources.
  • Develop and track program metrics.
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
  • Knowledge and experience in subcontracts, supplier management, procurement and planning, MRP/ERP planning and transactions, BOM structures, and material estimating and Basis of Estimate creation.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Experience with negotiating and managing multiple contract types, including but not limited to Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M) and cost type (CPFF, CPIF).
  • Experience with development and or R&D procurement projects.
  • Experience with complex negotiations including terms and conditions.
  • Track record of managing complex technology projects with aggressive schedules and scarce resources.
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal), leadership abilities, and the ability to team in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with aerospace procurements related to Ordnance, Fluids, Composites, or Avionics.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Coupa system(s).
  • Prior experience in the Space or Aerospace industry.
  • Experience with import/export (ITAR/EAR) regulations.
