About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at the North Central Correctional Institution in Gardner, MA. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide proactive and collaborative care to patients with a wide range of clinical presentations and acuity. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Job Description

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. You will work closely with other disciplines to provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and offer consultation to in-house and community services. Additionally, you will participate in monthly behavioral health calls, collaborate with the medical team to determine overall treatment for each individual, and perform risk assessments of incarcerated individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group treatment using evidence-based modalities to patients with diverse clinical presentations and acuity levels.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Participate in monthly behavioral health calls to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
  • Perform risk assessments of incarcerated individuals to identify potential harm to themselves or others.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections departments.
  • Discharge planning and preparation of necessary documentation and records.
  • Clinical skills, including prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, and brief clinical interventions.

Requirements

  • Masters degree from an accredited program in social work, counseling, psychology, or a comparable field.
  • Graduation from a Master's level program.
  • Minimum of one year internship/employment in a behavioral health capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory background investigation report.
