LPN Medical Unit Nurse

This position provides nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse healthcare settings while collaborating with the healthcare team.
The LPN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The LPN delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
This role does not involve hiring, firing, disciplining, promoting, demoting, transferring, or appraising, but may be consulted by higher management in these areas.
The LPN must have successfully completed an Ohio Board of Nursing-approved medication course.
