**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Orlando Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients to gather data from the patient, physician, and interdisciplinary team meetings, as well as family and significant others.
  • Develop treatment plans that integrate with the continuum of care, with specific goals and objectives.
  • Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Re-evaluate and modify treatment plans and goals when necessary, and prepare written documentation as required by the department and care team.
  • Recognize and communicate when the patient has received optimal benefit from speech therapy.
  • Maintain accurate billing and adhere to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
  • Ensure reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology from an approved program or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may apply.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or active engagement in Clinical Fellowship Year requirements.
  • Maintains current Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of Florida, including provisional license if applicable.
  • BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.
