The Travel Nurse RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care settings.
Certification Requirements:
- ACLS
- BCLS
- NIHSS
Preferred Certifications:
- PALS
- CCRN
- TNCC
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Traveler experience is not mandatory but preferred
Skills Required:
- Proficient in Vents, IV Start, Triage, PA Lines, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation, and EKOS
Patient Care Details:
- Target nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3, subject to unit needs
- Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses including multi-system organ failure, sepsis, cardiac issues, respiratory failure, and more
Unit Information:
- The unit consists of 20 beds divided into two locations: one with 12 beds and another with 8 beds
- Critical care protocols will be utilized, and nurses will assist with procedures such as intubation and line insertions
Orientation:
- 24 hours of unit orientation required
- Availability for hospital orientation is necessary
Work Schedule:
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18:45 to 7:15
- 2 weekends required per 6-week schedule
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to float to Intermediate Stepdown, Cardiac Telemetry, and Medical units
- A maximum of 7 days of requested time off for auto offers is allowed
Unit Systems:
- Familiarity with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems is essential.
