MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a highly skilled Physician (Gastroenterology) to join our team. As a gastroenterologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat disorders of the digestive system, including conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
- Perform endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, to diagnose and treat digestive disorders.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans to manage digestive disorders.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons and radiologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in gastroenterology to provide the best possible care to patients.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a gastroenterology fellowship program.
- Board certification in gastroenterology.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
