Inova Integrated Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 3 to join our team. This role utilizes an integrated approach to patient outcomes, ensuring improvements in practice settings through self-development and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities- Provides psychiatric consults to patients presenting to the Emergency department, via telepsych at other Inova ERs or Urgent Care facilities, or at IPAC walk-in clinics.
- Maintains a therapeutic milieu to provide a safe environment for crisis stabilization.
- Assesses needs and formulates collaborative treatment recommendations.
- Works closely with Community Service Board staff to ensure patient safety and appropriate care for patients being involuntarily detained, in accordance with Virginia statutes.
- Recommends appropriate levels of care, in collaboration with Emergency Department Physicians and/or on-call Psychiatrists and inpatient/outpatient treatment providers.
- Four (4) years' experience working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
- Master's Degree - Social Work (MSW), Master's in Counseling, PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology/Counseling, or related Master's degree.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or LPC, licensed in Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
