Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

HJD Capital Electric, Inc. is seeking skilled and licensed Journeyman Electricians to fulfill current and future project requirements. The ideal candidates will contribute to the Utilities division by executing the installation and upkeep of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures specifically for streetlight projects in accordance with established plans and specifications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute installation and repair of electrical wiring and systems within streetlights.
  • Install various conduit types connecting to electrical devices and equipment.
  • Operate Bucket Truck for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all piping adheres to electrical regulations.
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints effectively.
  • Install primary and secondary distribution systems along with switchgear.
  • Conduct testing of electrical systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
  • Inspect electrical systems to assess the need for repairs.
  • Replace conduit and wiring as necessary.
  • Replace circuit breakers when required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possession of a Journeyman/Lineman license in Texas.
  • Experience in streetlight work and capability to operate a bucket truck.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing fixtures and plugs.
  • Proficient in wire sizing, reading drawings, and interpreting blueprints.
  • Ability to assemble panels and transformers (terminating).
  • PREFERRED: Valid CDL.
