Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Team Coordinator to join our team at Johnston Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient assignments, planning, organizing, evaluating, and supervising nursing care within the department.
  • Facilitate communication within the department and interdepartmentally.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts at the unit level, escalating through the chain of command as necessary.
  • Provide direction and support for nursing staff, serving as a role model for clinical and ethical practice.
  • Develop and implement patient-centered care initiatives, including education and training programs.
  • Participate in Shared Governance, hospital committees, task forces, or projects to improve patient care or work area.
Requirements
  • College degree required; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; 1-3 years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred; National Professional Nurse certification desired.
  • Valid and active RN license in the appropriate state for practice; AHA BLS certification required.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a rotating weekend schedule. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to work effectively as a team leader.
