Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Solution One Industries is a leading government contractor with a reputation for excellence. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Fort Stewart, GA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other construction equipment, safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to maintain optimal performance and longevity.
  • Monitor and assess job site conditions, including terrain, soil stability, and other environmental factors, to adapt equipment operation accordingly.
  • Collaborate with construction crews, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and coordinate tasks effectively.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Certification or licensure as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operating heavy equipment, preferably in construction or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and guidelines related to heavy equipment operation.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
