Field Service Engineer III

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer III to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Unity Lab Services division, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and customer service to our clients across the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-site installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance services for our analytical equipment.
- Meet customer expectations through excellence in repair and support of their products.
- Maintain communication with customers to ensure understanding of status, cost, and scheduling of the service event.
- Provide rapid and knowledgeable response to all customer inquiries.
- Schedule and deliver detailed preventative maintenance services to ensure maximum uptime of customer equipment.
- Review reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning product to resolve nature and scope of problem.
- Regularly attend factory-provided technical and service training on newest and latest products.
- Provide accurate and complete quality training, service reports, expense reports, company-provided car maintenance, and mileage reporting, as well as other various administrative tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience operating analytical equipment, i.e. mass spectrometry.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel up to 80% overnight domestic travel.
- Ability to work overtime and/or outside regular business hours.
- Physical requirements which can involve lifting up to 50 pounds or heavier with a team.
- Competitive hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $40.06-$60.09.
- Variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
