About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Mammography Technologist to join our team at the University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain mammography and ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper use and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Perform screening mammography and diagnostic imaging exams, including advanced and complex procedures.
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound biopsies and mammography-guided localization procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure patient comfort and confidentiality.
  • Use computer systems to schedule, begin, complete, and cancel exams, as well as validate images sent to PACS.
  • Reconcile unspecified images in PACS and manage exceptions in EPIC.
  • Document QA issues or protocol changes in the appropriate notes section in EPIC.
  • Ensure all exams are coded properly and demonstrate knowledge in EPIC.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of formal technology training in an AMA-approved school.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Mammography Technologist.
