Our research and development centers serve the government, creating a significant impact across various sectors including cybersecurity, healthcare, aviation, defense, and enterprise transformation. We strive to make a difference every day, contributing to a safer, healthier, and more secure world.
Department Overview:
Our mission-driven team collaborates with MITRE's government and industry partners in homeland security to enhance the cybersecurity of industrial control systems across government entities and critical infrastructure providers. We are on the lookout for cyber defenders with expertise in Operational Technology (OT), ICS, SCADA, and IoT, who are passionate about integrated security operations, threat-informed cyber defense, and cyber resiliency.
Key Responsibilities:
This team engages closely with government and critical infrastructure stakeholders to bolster the cybersecurity of essential operational technology systems. Building relationships grounded in an understanding of our sponsors' unique missions and challenges is as crucial as possessing specific technical skills. We seek individuals with a broad cyber experience and specialized knowledge in areas applicable to sponsor needs. Responsibilities may include:

- Designing and implementing cyber sensor and analytics architectures to enhance OT cybersecurity operations, threat hunting, and forensic analysis.
- Researching and establishing improved situational awareness of OT assets through normal activity baselining and anomaly detection using multi-source data analytics.
- Performing analyses of cyber mission dependencies, criticality, and adversary attack scenarios to inform the design of resilient OT architectures.
- Developing and refining defensive tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for detecting and responding to cyber threats in OT environments.
- Utilizing frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and ATT&CK for ICS to enhance detection capabilities and support adversary hunting in OT settings.
- Researching and implementing OT Cyber Resiliency solutions, including the development of SCADA cyber defense architectures.
- Conducting forensic analysis of OT devices to assist in cyber incident investigations.
- Executing attack emulation and deception operations.
Basic Qualifications:
