Electrophysiological Monitoring Specialist

As an Electrophysiological Monitoring Specialist at Altru Health System, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the electrical activity of patients' heart rhythms through a central monitoring station in the hospital setting.
About the Role
This position requires a highly skilled individual who can detect, analyze, record, and report any rhythm changes to assigned nursing staff. You will serve as a resource to bedside staff for applying telemetry monitors, maintenance of monitors and leads, and troubleshooting problems regarding telemetry monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry central and identify any rhythm changes.
- Analyze and record rhythm strips for nurse review and documentation.
- Serve as a resource to bedside staff for telemetry-related tasks.
- Communicate changes in patient telemetry orders to the direct care team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, you must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of start date. Physical demands include sitting frequently, standing occasionally, and walking frequently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information
The estimated salary range for this position is $16.26 - $24.38 per hour, depending on experience. This compensation package includes benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement plans.
