Radiologic Technologist

The X-Ray Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process, ensuring patients receive high-quality care and accurate results.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for radiological procedures, communicating clearly and compassionately to ensure a smooth experience.
- Operate x-ray equipment, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
- Evaluate and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting any malfunctions or concerns to the supervisor.
- Process and enter radiological procedure information into the electronic health record, providing additional reports and information as needed.
- Maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and equipped with necessary medical and radiological supplies.
- Completion of a course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
- Maintenance of certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (AART) and an active Indiana State license.
The X-Ray Technologist works in an enclosed space with radiologic equipment, exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Physical demands include standing for long periods, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
