Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including administering chemotherapy and managing side effects.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest developments in radiation oncology and cancer care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to radiation oncology and cancer care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Course and Certificate.
  • Specialty or National/Professional Certification preferred.
