Pharmacy Technician Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, as well as maintaining accurate records and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter prescription information, including patient searches, prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
  • Accept customer and prescription information for new and refill prescriptions.
  • Retrieve medication from inventory and create prescription labels.
  • Place medication into prescription containers and complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions.
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy department's cleanliness and organization.
  • Participate in inventory management processes, including order review and restocking shelves.
