Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine and culinary team to design and implement menu items that embody Safta's culinary philosophy.
  • Oversee and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, techniques, and presentation standards.
  • Assist in the development and execution of new menu offerings and seasonal specials, focusing on local and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols within the kitchen environment.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and cost control to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive workplace culture and encouraging teamwork and open dialogue.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques and flavor profiles.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and effectively delegate responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance.
  • Understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
  • A creative spirit and passion for the culinary arts.
