Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine and culinary team to design and implement menu items that embody Safta's culinary philosophy.
- Oversee and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, techniques, and presentation standards.
- Assist in the development and execution of new menu offerings and seasonal specials, focusing on local and seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols within the kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and cost control to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Lead by example, promoting a positive workplace culture and encouraging teamwork and open dialogue.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques and flavor profiles.
- Proven ability to lead a team and effectively delegate responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
