Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at American Oncology Management Company.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced oncology setting. This includes administering chemotherapeutic agents, conducting patient assessments, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as ordered by physicians, adhering to ONS standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments to identify and address potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in OncoEMR, ensuring appropriate charges are captured.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in chemotherapy classes as needed, serving as a moderator and instructor.
  • Respond to incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, and healthcare providers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies, recommending purchases as needed.
  • Have working knowledge of dispensing medications via Nucleus, performing cycle counts, and restocking medications within the designated timeframe.
  • Enter all appropriate patient charges into Nucleus.
  • Attend annual Safety/OSHA training meetings and mandatory staff meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information at all times.
  • Assist in training new employees to related job duties.
  • Be willing to work at any Company location to meet business needs.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of employment, with experience in IV therapy.
  • Experience working with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Current CPR and BLS certifications.
  • Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's license in the state of residency for travel to clinics.
