We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at NYC Health Hospitals. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing psychological evaluation, intervention, and support to patients enrolled in our medical weight loss program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Psychological Evaluation and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Support Patients with Obesity: Create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with obesity, addressing psychological issues, body image, self-esteem, and social support.
- Screen for and Treat Eating Disorders: Screen patients for eating disorders and provide treatment and referrals as needed.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with medical providers and registered dietitians to develop treatment plans that address patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Provide Documentation and Referrals: Document clinical services and make referrals for case management services as needed.
- Supervise and Train Psychology Interns and Externs: Supervise and train psychology interns and externs to ensure they receive the necessary training and support.
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology: Hold a doctoral degree in psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
- Valid License and Registration: Possess a valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED.
- Continuing Education: Participate in continuing education and other appropriate activities to maintain current licensure.

- Annual Stipend: Receive an annual stipend of $4,855 if you are currently registered and possess a New York State license to practice as a psychologist.
