About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Lake Conservation Inspector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the prevention of aquatic invasive species in Minnesota's waters.


Estimated Salary: $22-$28 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.


This part-time position involves inspecting watercraft at multiple lakes, educating the public on AIS prevention methods, and conducting thorough inspections to prevent the spread of invasive species.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Educate the public on AIS prevention strategies.
  2. Develop and distribute educational materials on AIS protocols.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of watercraft for invasive species.
  4. Maintain accurate records of inspection activities.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical ability to perform frequent walking and standing.

Work Environment: The successful candidate will work at the Lake Byllesby Public Water Access site during peak season.
