Crew Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our Public Works team in Hernando County, FL. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising a crew of maintenance workers, ensuring that public works projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Coordinate and supervise a crew of maintenance workers to ensure that public works projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure that all crew members are aware of and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate with field supervisors and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.
• Operate heavy equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, and front-end loaders, to perform maintenance and construction tasks.
• Review and direct the work of crew members to ensure that it meets quality and safety standards.
• Attend meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in public works maintenance and construction projects.
• Three years' experience in the safe operation of heavy maintenance and construction equipment.
• Valid Florida Commercial Class A driver's license required.
• Knowledge of principles and methods of safely operating heavy and light maintenance and construction equipment.
• Ability to recognize hazards and enforce safety requirements for work methods and site conditions.
• Ability to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
