Job Summary

AMR is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care to patients in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Respond to Emergency Situations: Utilize your Paramedic skills to assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Provide Advanced Medical Care: Utilize medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care to patients.
  • Communicate with Patients and Families: Communicate with patients and their loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Lead Paramedic Team: Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Operate Ambulance: Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow Paramedics.
Other Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach: Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Licensure: State Paramedic License
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
  • Driving Record: Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Physical Agility: Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Experience: Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
