Job Summary

The Lead MRI Technologist plays a vital role in the safe and efficient operation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment. This position requires a high level of expertise in MRI imaging and accessory equipment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI exams on a variety of body parts, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Complete pre-exam screening, greet patients, and assist with gowns, history forms, and technologist exam sheets.
  • Verify and follow doctor's orders, initial patient charts, and start/remove IVs as necessary.
  • Safely administer contrast media with power injectors.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • Associate Degree in a related field.
