Culinary Supervisor

Compass Group Careers is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team.

• Position: Sous Chef
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday with alternating weekends and holidays.
• Experience Required: Previous experience in healthcare food service, cooking, inventory management, and scheduling is essential.
• Compensation: Competitive pay range of $18.00 to $18.50 per hour.

YOUR ROLE
The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in food preparation and cooking, oversee kitchen staff, and ensure the smooth operation of food services in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and production standards, ensuring timely completion of all orders.
• Supervise and mentor food service staff, including hiring, scheduling, and conducting performance reviews.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols while storing and handling food products.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations, complying with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Engage with customers to address any concerns in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and assist in communicating this to staff and patrons.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage product deliveries, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.
