Job Title: Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. As a key member of our Nuclear Programs and Consulting group, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures made of steel, concrete, and masonry, with a focus on seismic design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop design calculations using standard and advanced analysis techniques
  • Develop drawings and specifications for structures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe and innovative solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with local and national codes, such as IBC, AISC 360, ACI 318, and ASCE 7
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering school
  • EIT registration (any state)
  • Knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry design
  • 1 year of design experience post-graduation or 2 design internships while enrolled in school
  • US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineering (PE) or SE license
  • Experience delivering a range of projects from conceptual design through detailed design
  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of nuclear codes, such as DOE 1020, AISC N690, and ACI 349
