Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring the optimal delivery of patient care and the appropriate use of available resources. This includes supervising, assigning, and directing the activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift.
Responsibilities- Comply with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area.
- Comply with standards/policies during assigned shift.
- Supervise, assign, and direct the activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift.
- Use independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
- Ensure that Longview Regional's values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire.
- Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
- 1-2 years of Surgery Services experience required.
