Pediatric Registered Nurse Position Overview
As a Pediatric Registered Nurse at Children's Specialized Hospital, you will provide expert nursing care tailored to the unique needs of pediatric patients and their families within a rehabilitation environment.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program recognized by the National League of Nursing
- Active RN license in New Jersey
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year experience in pediatric nursing
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in rehabilitative nursing
Required Certifications and Licenses:
- New Jersey RN license
- AHA BLS certification
Work Schedule:
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Per Diem availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively utilize the nursing process
- Address the healthcare needs of patients and their families
- Develop and implement rehabilitation plans for pediatric patients
- Engage in patient and family education initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Mentor and support fellow nursing staff
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
