Your Role
We are seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians to ensure high-quality animal care, advocating for pets, and educating pet owners.
- Supporting the medical team to enhance productivity and maintain a smooth patient flow.
- Communicating with clients regarding their pets' health and offering guidance on treatment options.
- Maintaining accurate medical records with the assistance of practice management systems.
- Gathering health history and information from clients and keeping medical charts updated.
- Utilizing safe restraint techniques and ensuring cleanliness in treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratories.
- Experience as an Emergency Animal Care Technician is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a veterinary setting.
- Professional demeanor and courteous communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong client service and communication abilities.
- A genuine love for animals and a compassionate approach to care.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
