About the Role

PepsiCo is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Operations (EDO) team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and overseeing PepsiCo's data product build & operations, driving a strong vision for how data engineering can proactively create a positive impact on the business.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy large-scale data pipelines to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business needs.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure data governance, metadata management, and data lineage are properly implemented and maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in software development, data architecture, and systems integration.
  • 3+ years of experience with data lake infrastructure, data warehousing, and data analytics tools.
  • Experience with cloud data engineering, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and building high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with data profiling and data quality tools, such as Apache Griffin, Deequ, and Great Expectations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
