We are seeking a highly skilled and courteous Bell Attendant to join our team at the Williamsburg Inn. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with guests and providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and escort guests to their hotel rooms, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
- Transport guest baggage to hotel rooms using a baggage cart as needed, maintaining a high level of efficiency and organization.
- Explain hotel services available to guests, including television use and room temperature controls, while also highlighting the importance of hotel evacuation routes.
- Answer guest questions about the Williamsburg Inn and Colonial Williamsburg, showcasing in-depth knowledge and a passion for the area.
- Drive hotel guests to Colonial Williamsburg restaurants and other locations, providing convenient transportation services.
- Provide ice service to guests upon request, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to meeting guest needs.
- Assist doorkeepers as needed, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- A valid driver's license and an original Motor Vehicle Record transcript (MVR) are required, with the MVR not older than 30 days and issued by the same state as the driver's license.
- The ability to display the highest standards of hospitality and courtesy while working with guests, employees, managers, and supervisors under busy and stressful situations.
- Ability to learn required information about the Williamsburg Inn and Colonial Williamsburg, deal with unexpected problems with tact and courtesy, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- In accordance with Colonial Williamsburg insurance requirements, applicants must be 21 years of age.
- Physical requirements include transporting and handling up to 60 pounds, using a bicycle as necessary, and climbing stairs.
- Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook and smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors.
- Show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work.
- Report to work as scheduled and on time and meet appearance standards.
- Perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
