At Soliant Education, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to work onsite for the 2024-2025 school year.

We are committed to providing a dynamic classroom experience where our students can thrive.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with students with special needs, preferably in both self-contained and inclusion/resource settings.

The successful candidate will be able to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students on their caseload and track and report student progress toward IEP goals.

In this role, you will work closely with 2 paraprofessionals to ensure the students' educational needs are met.

The teacher will manage a caseload of 6 students (1 self-contained and 5 inclusion/resource).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in a self-contained and inclusion/resource setting
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to ensure students' success in the classroom
  • Track and report student progress toward IEP goals
  • Modify and adapt curriculum to meet students' individual needs
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, as necessary
