About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Santa Monica College. This part-time faculty position will provide clinical services to students who identify as LGBTQ+ and other underserved populations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment, brief individual counseling, crisis intervention, and emergency procedures for students.
  • Assist with the coordination, development, and assessment of clinical services.
  • Serve as a consultant/resource person to college faculty and staff regarding students with mental health concerns.
  • Build strategic alliances and campus networks to enhance student life.
  • Provide outreach services to meet the social, developmental, and academic needs of a culturally diverse student population.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience in crisis intervention, emergency services, and supervising graduate interns/trainees.
  • Demonstrated ability to counsel and train using professional therapeutic orientations, models, techniques, and strategies.
  • Expertise in working with individuals who identify as undocumented, have mixed status, identify as LGBTQ+, or BIPOC.
Benefits
