Job Summary:

As a Clinical Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our members. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team of mental health experts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychometric and projective tests, as well as other psychodiagnostic techniques and behavior observations, to assess patients' mental health needs.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment to adults, adolescents, and children, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Conduct initial interviews with patients, gather and review relevant information, and determine the urgency of their needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, selecting appropriate therapeutic modalities and interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate guidance to patients in need of clinical services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient therapy, prepare reports, and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to assess the effectiveness of clinical procedures and services.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide consultation, education, and training on clinical issues and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Two or more years of post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting, or a pre-doctoral internship, post-doctoral internship, or fellowship at Kaiser Permanente.
  • Current licensure as a Psychologist in California.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship in an APA-approved program.
  • Experience in assessing for child and adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a variable schedule, including weekends. The primary location is in California, Los Angeles, with occasional travel required (approximately 10% of the time).
