Baler Operator Job Description

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking a skilled Baler Operator to join our team at our North Canton warehouse.

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to operate a baling machine, compact textiles, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a baling machine to compact textiles in a safe and efficient manner
  • Remove non-textile items from the baling machine to ensure quality control
  • Work with the lead baler to maintain equipment, reports, and quality of bales
  • Keep the baler room, dock area, and warehouse clean and organized
  • Adhere to agency safety and security policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position, including frequent standing, walking, and lifting
  • Tow motor experience preferred
  • Ability to judge distance, speed, and movement of objects
