Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Collect and analyze data, identify expected outcomes, develop and implement individualized plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Lead and Direct Care Teams: Direct care and determine the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create a documented plan focused on outcomes and decisions related to the care and delivery of services.
- Participate in Shared Governance: Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects to drive quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
- Evaluate and Document Patient Responses: Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and properly individualize the plan of care based on the evaluation of findings.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
- Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
- Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and additional certifications as required by the department.
- Experience: Experience in specific clinical area, such as Emergency Room, Pediatric Emergency Room, or Non-Invasive Cardiology.
- Certifications: Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS), Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse.
