Mechatronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at NetGroup Engineering in Greensboro, NC. As an Aftermarket Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing efficient spare parts, service, and repair solutions that maximize vehicle uptime and provide a competitive advantage in the aftermarket business for Volvo Group's North American truck products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, document, and optimize spare parts solutions required for technical repairs.
- Create and adapt repair methods and standard times for components, systems, and vehicles.
- Develop and document special tools needed for repair methods.
- Lead internal technical reviews related to spare parts, repair methods, and standard times to ensure consistency.
- Ensure repair methods and standard times meet Volvo Group's safety and quality objectives.
- Verify, validate, and quality-assure technical solutions before introducing them into systems.
- Synchronize technical solutions with stakeholders to provide a holistic view of the entire product value chain.
- Take ownership of the parts assortment and repair methods throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Development Engineering to share market learnings and product performance insights to enhance vehicle uptime.
- Utilize machine learning and business intelligence to drive efficiencies, improving dealer workshop autonomy and maintenance effectiveness.
- Apply knowledge in automation (Python, Java, C++) to develop solutions that improve daily operations.
- Use data analytics to drive decision-making and support the business based on data insights.
You are a technically skilled engineer with a strong interest in aftermarket solutions. Your expertise in spare parts, repair methods, and data-driven decision-making will enable you to develop strategies that improve vehicle uptime and dealer autonomy. You thrive in collaborative environments and have a passion for innovation and automation.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in product development or aftermarket services, preferably in the automotive or trucking industry.
- Strong understanding of spare parts development and repair optimization.
- Proficiency in data analytics and experience with automation tools such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and take ownership of product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with machine learning and business intelligence tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to validate and verify technical solutions.
