Superintendent - Commercial

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the overall construction process from kickoff to closeout.

• Pre-Job Startup: Conduct site visits, assess project specifics, and coordinate personnel access and stock itinerary.
• Identify and correct work deficiencies.
• Visit jobsites to record information needed for estimation.
• Collaborate with Project Management to schedule material and labor with other departments.
• Ensure timely communication with Project Managers to ensure jobs run on schedule and under budget.
• Review jobs with Project Manager and Project Foreman to establish lines of communication and areas of responsibilities.
• Interface with Warehouse to create pre-job equipment lists and schedule deliveries.
• Field Support for Crews: Review scope of work, supervise Foreman, and track labor expended to production per man day.
• Investigate incidents, document, and submit to Safety Director immediately.
• Provide assessment with related backup and coordinate scheduling of subcontractors.
• Conduct daily visits to ensure progress with established production goals and obtain information needed by Project Management.
• Document job progress, including photos, to be downloaded to project folder.
• Administrative: Evaluate assigned foremen, identify factors contributing to budget overruns, and critique options for cost control.
• Maintain professional appearance and relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to follow all OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

• High school diploma; Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Ten (10) years satisfactory work record as a Superintendent with a similar size contractor.
• 5+ years construction experience.
• Understanding of construction practices, techniques, codes, and regulations.
• Prior experience with scheduling and record keeping.
• Ability to communicate effectively and prioritize workload.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to pass and maintain a government background check and site access.
