About the RoleThe Occupational Therapist in Home Health will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs, determining treatment plans, and implementing interventions to enhance patient well-being. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing services defined by state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
- Leading patients in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
- Observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to treatment and changes to patient conditions.
- Instructing patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams in areas of therapy where they can participate in assisting patients.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages.
- Occupational Therapist license and registration by the state.
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
