Job SummaryWe are looking for a licensed and experienced nurse to work as a circulator, pre-operative or post-operative nurse in one of our JCAHO-certified ambulatory surgery centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Develop, review, and revise standard operating procedures in all aspects of center's operations
- Inform staff regarding important issues pertaining to center's regulatory performance standards
- Direct day-to-day operations, including developing procedures to maximize productivity and establishing the need to replace existing or purchase additional medical equipment
- Work with the administrator to recruit nurses, surgical technicians, and medical assistants to fill vacancies and/or demand
- Orient and train new employees, direct and monitor workloads according to schedule, and assist with employee annual evaluations
- Mediate conflict resolution among staff, assure stock inventory is maintained, and resolve patient complaints/direct to appropriate authority
- Perform as a staff nurse when scheduled, collect information, process, and evaluate information, and make recommendations relative to factors that affect patient demand
- Assist the administrator with staff meetings, quality assurance system, infection control, keeping SDS book up to date and available to all employees, in-services, implementing new policies, and training on new equipment
- Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures by all employees
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing strongly preferred
- Must have current GA State RN license, BLS, ACLS, and other required training
- Knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies required to perform specific responsibilities
- Working knowledge of Eclinical
- Leadership skills
- Strong customer service skills, good command of the English language, both verbal and written, and ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a moderate noise level. The employee may be required to work between multiple locations, as needed.
