About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Infirmary. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to individuals requiring hospitalization or residential care. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate, assess, and coordinate care delivery, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation, assessment, and coordination of care delivery
  • Act as charge nurse when assigned, providing clinical services and consultation
  • Administer medication and treatment, and make MD/Professional contacts as needed
  • Develop and implement care plans for health needs
Work Schedule

We offer flexible shifts and pay additions for hours worked. Our shifts include:

  • 10:45pm-6:45am (8 hour)
  • 8:15pm-6:45am (10 hour)
  • 6:15pm-6:45am (12 hour) 36/48, alternating weeks
About Murdoch Developmental Center

Murdoch Developmental Center is one of three regional developmental centers operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). We serve 25 counties in central NC and provide residential services and supports to people with IDD, complex behavioral challenges, and/or medical conditions. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to our patients and their families.

Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Successful candidate must be able to pass Healthcare Provider CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) written and physical requirements as a condition of employment
  • Valid Driver License
Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus

Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements. A newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee who works 30 to 40 hours per week is eligible for a sign-on bonus (this will be prorated for employees working less than 40 hours per week).
