Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of structural concrete, masonry, and steel construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
- Verify that all materials and testing procedures meet industry standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and structural engineers to resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the inspection process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, testing, and certifications.
- Develop and implement effective quality control measures to ensure the highest level of quality and integrity in all construction projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, codes, and regulations to ensure that all inspections and testing are conducted in accordance with the latest standards.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and other team members as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of our inspection services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. engineering, construction management) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in welding inspection, quality control, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of AWS welding codes and standards, as well as industry-specific regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and platforms up to 100 feet, as well as lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 100 pounds).
Certifications:
- ICC certification in one or more of the following areas: masonry, concrete, or structural steel.
- Ability to perform soil density and concrete testing.
- Ability to interpret project specifications and determine compliance with applicable codes and engineer's requirements.
