Substance Abuse Therapist

Dakota Counseling Institute is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Addictions Counselor to join our team in Stepping Stones, SD.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' substance abuse issues and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to address the root causes of addiction and equip clients with effective coping mechanisms.
• Lead group therapy sessions to foster a sense of community and support clients in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices in addiction counseling to provide exceptional care to clients.

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Licensed or certified as an Addictions Counselor in South Dakota.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in addiction counseling.
• Strong understanding of substance abuse disorders and treatment approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
