Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Cath Lab Specialist to join our team at NavitsPartners. As a key member of our cardiovascular cath lab team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

About the Role:

  • Assist physicians with various interventional cardiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, atherectomy, valvuloplasty, intra-vascular ultrasound, and stent insertion.

  • Prepare sterile trays and equipment for each procedure, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.

  • Support the cardiac catheterization nurse in patient preparation and monitoring, maintaining accurate records and communication throughout the process.

  • Calibrate and test transducers for precise pressure readings during procedures, guaranteeing optimal outcomes for patients.

  • Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat complex cardiac conditions, utilizing digital cine technologies for storing and retrieving patient images and hemodynamic data.

  • Ensure seamless procedural transitions by downloading CD acquisitions to the hospital mainframe for review and analysis.

  • Support the insertion of vascular closure devices for inter-vascular stability, promoting efficient recovery and reduced complications.

  • Maintain inventory control and notify relevant staff of supply shortages, ensuring an adequate stock of essential medical supplies.

  • Participate in the evaluation and calibration of diagnostic and technical equipment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Provide emergency support to restore or maintain patient well-being during procedures, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.

  • Lift a minimum of 40 lbs., push/pull at least 100 lbs., and stand for at least 4 hours daily, meeting the physical demands of this dynamic role.

  • Deliver culturally sensitive care that meets the specific needs of diverse patient populations, adjusting for age, language, and other factors.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams, facilitating a collaborative and empathetic environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of prior experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital.

  • 6-12 months of experience in a CVT-accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory.

  • Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and sterile operative techniques.

  • Experience with RCIS, RCES, or RT certification, as well as electrophysiology mapping, ablation, and implant devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, and implant devices.

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings options, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
