Airport Painter

Job Summary:

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority seeks a skilled Painter to perform internal and external commercial painting, wall covering installations and repairs throughout the airport terminal and other facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and prepare painting surfaces by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary.
• Paint buildings, structures, equipment, and furniture using brush, spray gun or other applicator.
• Prepares wall and hangs paper or other wall covering material.
• Determines quantities and requests supplies in writing.
• Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
• Assists in performing preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, plumbing, and electrical fixtures and systems.
• Drives vehicles, including heavy equipment during inclement weather operations, and transports personnel, materials, and performs general building maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience in maintenance or construction related commercial painting.
• Post-secondary Vocational or related training.
• Military comparable or similar training.
