Job Title: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Travel LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical dermatology team.

Job Summary:

The Travel Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing physical care and emotional support to patients and families under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director. You will participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans, observing, reporting, and recording pertinent patient information into the electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides physical care and emotional support to patients and families
  • Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans
  • Observes, reports, and records pertinent patient information into the electronic health record system
  • Administers medications within parameters defined by the Dermatology Service
  • Photographs patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photographic procedures, techniques, and equipment
  • Participates in Quality Assurance activities and supports peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care
  • Triages patient urgent clinical calls and schedules patient appointments and Telehealth appointments as needed
  • Informs patients of pathology, lab results, and plan of care
  • Utilizes In-Basket messages to monitor biopsies and ensures that all necessary therapies are administered as scheduled by the physician
  • Provides clinical nursing coverage across the Medical Dermatology specialty services
  • Obtains prior authorizations for medications as needed
Requirements:
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
  • CPR certification required
  • BLS required
  • Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program required
  • Min 2+ years of LPN experience preferred
