Position Summary:

We are in search of a meticulous and driven professional to take on the role of Receivables Management Specialist. This position entails the precise documentation and processing of customer payments, as well as the verification and entry of financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of our receivables. The successful candidate will demonstrate robust analytical capabilities, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record customer payments by accurately documenting cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
  • Confirm and input transactions from lockbox and local deposits to record revenues.
  • Update receivables by calculating totals for outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain documentation by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.
  • Investigate account discrepancies by gathering information from various departments and clients.
  • Address valid or authorized deductions through the entry of adjusting entries.
  • Handle invalid or unauthorized deductions by adhering to pending deductions procedures.
  • Oversee collections by reviewing customer payment plans, payment history, and credit limits, collaborating with the collections department.
  • Summarize receivables by managing invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfers to accounts receivable, verifying totals, and preparing reports.
  • Safeguard the organization's interests by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Enhance job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities.
  • Support accounting and organizational objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains version 10.00 or higher is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
