We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Security Specialist to join our team at Academy Sports + Outdoors. As a key member of our distribution center team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and assets.
Key Responsibilities- Security and Safety: Respond to fire and burglar alarms, monitor and screen exiting distribution center associates, and provide prompt and friendly service to visitors and associates.
- Incident Reporting: Document and submit daily incident logs, and communicate violations of policy and procedures to loss prevention management.
- Knowledge and Training: Learn basic operations of the distribution center, maintain knowledge of current company policies and procedures, and communicate changes to team members.
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, feel, handle, and use repetitive motions; frequently stoop, crouch, use fingers, grasp, push, pull; occasionally required to climb, balance, and run.
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Work Experience: At least one year of related work experience.
- Skills: Communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, ability to work on a team, and ability to maintain a professional demeanor in tense and/or stressful situations.
- Physical Demands: Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
- Mental Demands: Ability to work in a variety of conditions/environments (office, warehouse, outdoors) during all seasons.
