Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations on patients as prescribed by orthopedic physicians.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, adhering to radiation safety measures and protocols.
- Position patients correctly and effectively to obtain the necessary images for diagnosis.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment in accordance with regulatory guidelines and manufacturer specifications.
- Develop X-ray films or use digital imaging systems to capture diagnostic images.
- Assist orthopedic physicians in assessing and interpreting X-ray images.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including X-ray films, reports, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and accurate diagnostic outcomes.
- Provide patient education regarding X-ray procedures and answer any questions or concerns.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of imaging and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT).
- Experience in orthopedic imaging is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and knowledge of radiographic techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
